To certify that I'm doing the Walking World Tour and complying with all the kilometers established by rules (see the Adventure section), I will record my route daily with GPS using the watch or mobile phone I'm carrying.
You can follow my daily route through Strava. Additionally, I've created a map that updates automatically every day, marking the completed route from the previous day.
This map was programmed by me using open-source tools like Leaflet (Data ©OpenStreetMap contributors ©Esri) or Strava2Gpx for Python. It automatically incorporates each day's route from the previous day if I have internet coverage, marks the end of the last stage with my face icon, and adds up the distance shown in the bottom box.
I've also automated the daily upload of the route to the table you see below, in case anyone wants to download the .GPX files and import them to applications like Mapy.com or GPX Studio. Here's how it works:
The table looks better from a computer.
Stage vs. Day Columns: The "Stage" column counts only walking days, while the "Day" column counts the total number of days since I started walking on 30-11-2025, including non-walking days.
The date format is in English (year-month-day).
To download a .GPX file, right-click on the link and select "Save as..." or "Save link as...".
I'm not an IT professional, so it might fail, if so please let me know.
